| Khalil: In Moroccan Arabic negative sentences almost always start with mâ/ما. There is a funny saying in Morocco, سبق الميم ترتاح sbbaq lmîm trtâH. This can be literally translated as “you will stay well rested if you start your sentences with an م/M”. This basically means that not getting involved is a sure way of staying out of trouble. |
