Alisha: This is Must-Know Egyptian Arabic Slang Words and Phrases, Season 1, Lesson 14. In this lesson you'll learn expressions related to legally vague activities.
Alisha: If people around you talk about something that is legally vague or suspicious, you will be able to tell ,if you understand these words.
SLANG EXPRESSIONS
Alisha: The expressions you will be learning in this lesson are:
Sherif: تحت الترابيزة (taḥt el-tarābīzah)
Sherif: في جيبي (fī gībī)
Sherif: بالحب (bel-ḥob)
Sherif: أي كلام (ʾayy kalām)
Alisha: Sherif, what's our first expression?
Sherif: تحت الترابيزة (taḥt el-tarābīzah)
Alisha: literally meaning "under the table." But when it's used as a slang expression, it means "illegitimate."
Sherif: [SLOW] تحت الترابيزة [NORMAL] تحت الترابيزة
